Congratulations to Ankit Verma for his (third) award from the J.N. Tata Endowment.
The Endowment was set up in 1892 by Jamsetji Tata, Founder of the Tata group, to encourage young people in India to take up higher studies at some of the best universities in the world. It is the first Tata benefaction in the field of education, and possibly the first of its kind in the world.
For the past 120 years the endowment has helped scholars of merit realise their dreams of getting a world-class education. Annually, the endowment selects around 120 scholars for higher studies abroad. Out of which a select few students are awarded Gift Scholarship.
Ankit intends to use these funds to assist in his fieldwork at Meteor Crater, Arizona.
