Conor Murphy


Is a lecturer in the Department of geography, Maynooth University. His research focuses on i) modelling impacts of climate change on catchment hydrology and exploring how uncertainty in future impacts can be integrated into decision making processes, ii) the detection and attribution of climate change signals from observations of river flows and iii) understanding the dynamics of adaptation in socio-ecological systems. He has acted as a national expert reviewer for reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and is a member of the Irish National Committee for the International Hydrological Programme and the Advisory Committee on Climate Change for Implementation of the Water Framework Directive. He also serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Extreme Events.
